Former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchinson believes the Reds have made a good decision in signing Italian winger Federico Chiesa from Juventus.
“When you think about the wingers Liverpool have in their squad, you might question. Whether they really want him (Chiesa) or not. But this seems to put a damper on the noise about a replacement for Mohamed Salah, ” Hutchinson told ufabet http://ufabet999.app.
“Chiesa, at 26, can play in that position. It increases competition for places at Liverpool and it can also give them a rest from Salah when needed. It certainly gives them a bit more balance on the right flank. If Salah is rumored to leave, Chiesa could fill that void.”
However, former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchinson believes the Italian could not only struggle to get game time under his belt at Anfield if the move goes through. But also replicate the form shown by Mohamed Salah from the right.
“I’m not saying he’ll score as many goals as Salah, but he’s a player with a lot of power, a lot of pace, and I think he’ll be a great asset to the team.”
For Chiesa, he moved from Fiorentina to Juventus in 2020, playing in 131 games in all competitions, scoring 32 goals, and winning Euro 2020 with the Italian national team.
